Who’s Ven?

I left home when I was 18 years old to further my study, I have never been at home for more than 3 months after that.

In 2013, I set my intention to visit all states in my country. Thanks to my work, I got to travel to all states (except one, for now). This love of travelling started from my family. In Sarawak, accessing different cities is difficult and expensive. But my parents love to do family road trips since my siblings and I were little. We love to visit small, rural towns – just to see things, talk to people and soak in the experience of being in a different place.

In 2016, I had an opportunity to travel outside of my country. It was my first ASEAN experience. This round, I set my intention to understand the teachings of Buddhism and Hinduism. This ‘learning’ trip took me 2 years. It ignited me to getting to know my roots more and challenged my belief system.

In 2018, I wanted to explore the teachings of the Abrahamic faiths, but not through the ‘original’ countries. I wanted to see how these faiths influenced the civilisation of the particular countries I visited. It was my first long-distance travel. The colours of my trip were gold, red and brown. Honestly, I brought an entourage (of my ancestors) with me for that visit.

The rest of my travels were for fun – being in a different energy setting is very empowering and refreshing.
